《三国演义》，原名为《三国志通俗演义》，是一本长篇历史小说，可以说是中国古代长篇章回小说的开山之作，亦是中国古代四大名著之一，与《西游记》、《水浒传》、《红楼梦》齐名。作者一般被认为是明朝的罗贯中。[1]
小说以东汉末年为历史背景，以刘关张三兄弟、诸葛亮、东汉、曹魏、蜀汉及东吴六大路线为中心，讲述东汉末年黄巾起义至魏、蜀、吴三国鼎立，到西晋统一为终结。小说通篇精巧叙述谋略，虽与史实多有出入，仍誉之“中国谋略全书”.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms (traditional Chinese: 三國演義; simplified Chinese: 三国演义; pinyin: sānguó yǎnyì), written by Luo Guanzhong in the 14th century, is a Chinese historical novel based upon events in the turbulent years near the end of the Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms era of China, starting in 169 and ending with the reunification of the land in 280.[1]
It is acclaimed as one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature, with a grand total of 800,000 words, nearly a thousand characters[2], and 120 chapters.
